Eileen Flanagan

The death has occurred of Eileen Flanagan, Timard, Clonberne, Co. Galway.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Eileen, in her 96th year, on Thursday 12th March 2026. She was surrounded by her loving family and in the care of staff at Central Park Nursing Home.

 

 

Predeceased by her beloved husband Mark, her sisters Mary Glynn (Cong), Bridie O'Brien (Northhampton) and her daughter in law Bernie (Lanesborough)

 

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her family. Her children: Jimmy, Mary, Michael, Luke and Mark; her siblings Nora and Louis; her son-in-law Seamus Heaney and daughters-in-law Caroline, Shirley and Aileen; her adored grandchildren Shane, Alan, Aisling, Roisin, Aine, Dara, Sean, Conor, Maeve, Evelyn, Aoife, Laoise, Shauna and Mark; her great-grandchildren Rian, Isla-Rose, Leah, Sean and Sadhbh; nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and her wide circle of friends.

 

May her kind gentle soul Rest in Peace.

 

 

Reposing at Clonberne Community Centre (H53 W3W2) on Saturday,14th March 2026 from 5pm to 7pm.

Removal from the family home on Sunday 15th March 2026, for funeral mass at 2:30pm in Our lady of Mount Carmel Church, Clonberne (H53 XC89) followed by burial afterwards in Clonberne Cemetery.
