Formerly of Kenmare, Co. Kerry

In the early hours of Friday, 27th February 2026, Eileen slipped away very peacefully in the great care of the staff at the Bon Secours Hospital, Galway with her family by her side. Predeceased by her beloved husband Patrick (formerly of Mullingar), brothers John and Jim, sisters Christina, Margaret, Mary and Joan, nephew Kevin and niece Angela. A devoted mother to Marie, Maeve and Ed and an exceptional grandmother to her adored grandchildren Emily, Eleanor, Derek Jnr. Graeme, Redmond and Ruth.


Deeply mourned by her daughters and son, grandchildren, brother Dan, sons-in-law Derek and Doug, nieces and nephews Patti and her husband Colin, Kerry, Patty, Dan Jnr. and their families, the McCarthy and O’Connor families in America. Also, sadly missed by the extended Kenehan family, friends and neighbours.

Funeral Arrangements
Wednesday, 4th March, 2026

Eileen will lie in Repose at the O'Flaherty Funeral Parlour, Munster Avenue (H91V1K8) from 5.00 p.m. with Removal to the Church of Christ the King, Salthill at 6.30 p.m.

Thursday, 5th March, 2026

A Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Eileen at 11 a.m. Private Cremation to follow. Mass will be live streamed https://mcn.live/Camera/christ-the-king-church-salthill

Parking and entrance to the funeral parlour.
Please approach the funeral parlour entrance on foot from Fr. Burke Park. Street parking may be available on Fr. Griffin Road, within the Claddagh, on Henry Street and Sea Road. Road works continue within the city, with road diversions in place.

 

Car Parks within walking distance of the parlour are: The Claddagh Church, Spanish Arch and Mill Street which is adjacent to the Garda Station.
