The death has occurred of

Eileen Mc Kenna (née Mc Grane)

Magdalene Court, Kells and formerly Leicester, England and Castle St. Kells, Co. Meath,

peacefully following a short illness in the loving care of her brothers, sisters and extended family

and the wonderful medical and nursing staff at Our Lady’s Hospital Navan.

 

Eileen was predeceased by her parents Michael and Bridget and her brother Addie

and is survived by her loving son Peter,

her sisters Caroline, Cookie and Sharon brothers Ronnie, Alan and Gerry

grandchildren Elliejoe and Alfie, daughter-in-law Leann, extended family and many close friends.

 

Eileen will repose at her residence (A82 K5V9) on Friday from 2pm - 4.30pm

Removal from her residence at 5.30pm to arrive at St. Colmcille’s Church at 6pm

Funeral Mass on Saturday morning at 11am,

which can be viewed on kellsparish.ie

followed by burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Navan.

 

Eileen will be fondly remembered as a very kind, caring, compassionate person

who demonstrated those qualities among her family and her workplace both in England and Ireland.

She was a former manager of Dunne’s Stores Navan and prior to her illness was a carer to many

elderly and housebound people in the Kells area where she cared for them

with respect and great dignity.

Eileen’s gentle and caring presence will be greatly missed by so many.
