Eileen McCarthy

On September 5th, Eileen passed peacefully, in the presence of her family at Cork University Hospital. Beloved wife of Noel, much-loved mother and best friend of Dianne. Predeceased by her son Danny, her brothers Noel, Pat-Joe and Jerry. Eileen will be sadly missed by her loving family, sister Mary Foley, sisters-in-law Mary Hosford, Liz Daly and Mary Daly, her daughter-in-law Fiona, Adrian Daly, her nieces, nephews, godchildren along with many friends and kind neighbours.

The McCarthy family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Eileen’s home help team, staff of Bantry General Hospital and Cork University Hospital, Dr Michael Kingston and the staff of Bantry Bay Medical for all their wonderful care of Eileen.

Reposing at her home in Kilcrohane Village (Eircode: P75 YR59) on Sunday Sept. 8th from 3pm to 6pm. Requiem Mass on Monday Sept. 9th at 1pm at Star of the Sea Church, Kilcrohane (to view live stream click here) followed by burial in Durrus Cemetery.
