The peaceful death has taken place at Letterkenny University Hospital on Wednesday 8th April 2026 of Eileen Melly née Lynch, College Farm Road, Letterkenny, Co. Donegal F92 HEV6. Deeply missed by her loving daughter Mary Flynn (Oliver), sons Eamonn and Sean (Marie), grandchildren John, Ronan, Rachel, Olivia and Sofia, brothers Benny Lynch (Josie) and Eamonn Lynch (Angela), nieces, nephews and a wide circle of family, friends and neighbours.

Eileen is predeceased by her husband Eamonn (2001), brothers Tom and John and her sisters Bridie Marchetti and Kathleen McGlynn.

Eileen’s remains will be reposing at her late residence on Friday 10th April from 12 noon until the Rosary at 9pm. Family time after the Rosary please.

Funeral from there at 10.30am on Saturday 11th April going to St. Eunan’s Cathedral, Letterkenny for 11am Requiem Mass which can be viewed live on www.churchservices.tv/letterkenny. Interment afterwards in Conwal Cemetery, Letterkenny. Family time on the morning of the funeral please.
