It is with deep sadness we announce the death of Eileen White, Boreenmanna Rd, Cork, who passed away on 28th February 2026, peacefully in the tender loving care of the staff of Mercy University Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

Eileen (née Costello) devoted wife and best friend of the late John. Loving Mother of Edward (Eddie), Paul, Mary, Fiona (Smith), Carol (Cashman) and Tony.

Adored grandmother to all of her 15 grandchildren and great grandson, sister of the late Tony, Noreen, Marie and aunt to her beloved nephew the late Martin Cronin.

She will be sadly missed by her family, daughters-in-law Elizabeth, Lisa, Claire, sons-in-law Brendan and Jerry, sister-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, extended family, wide circle of friends and exceptional neighbours.

The family would like to thank the staff of Curam Care Home, Carrigaline for their kindness and exceptional care shown to Eileen during her time there, and also thank all those who cared lovingly for Eileen both at home and in care settings.

 

Rest in Peace

Lying in Repose in Keohane’s Funeral Home, Knights Hill, Mayfield, Cork, on Tuesday 3rd March 2026 from 6.30pm to 7.30pm with prayers at 7.30pm.

Requiem Mass on Wednesday 4th March 2026 at 11.00am in the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes, Ballinlough. Which will be live streamed Here

Followed by burial in St Finbarr’s Cemetery, Glasheen.
