Heaney (née Byrne), Templerainey Heights, Arklow, Co. Wicklow and formerly of Gorey, Co. Wexford. 23rd January 2026, peacefully in the tender care of the staff at Asgard Lodge Nursing Home, Arklow, Eleanor beloved wife of the late Edward (Eddie) and dearly loved mother of Camilla, Lorraine, Alicia and the late Gerald (Jim), treasured sister of Joe, Marian, Malcolm and the late Mylo, proud granny of Casey and Adam. She will be sadly missed by her loving daughters, brothers, sister, grandchildren, sons-in-law Hugh and Brendan, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

May Eleanor Rest in Peace.

Eleanor will be reposing at Hudson’s Funeral Home (Y14 PT80) on Monday from 2pm, with removal at 5.40pm on Monday evening to St. Joseph’s Church, Templerainey arriving for reception prayers at 6pm. Funeral Tuesday after Mass at 10am, followed by burial in St. Gabriel’s Cemetery, Arklow. (Driving from Funeral Home to Church and from Church to Cemetery)
