Elizabeth (Betty) Deere, 6 Bridge Street, Carlow, February 8th 2026, after a long illness at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny, all be it unexpectedly in the end. Predeceased by her beloved partner Tom Murphy and by her parents and brother Christy.

Beloved mother of Kate, Patrick and Frances. Sadly missed by her loving family, brothers Tommy and Noely, sisters Patty, Ann and Suzie, cherished grandchildren Khloe, Kara, Kody and Kelsey, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends

Reposing in R. Healy & Son Funeral Home, Pollerton Castle, Carlow on Wednesday (Feb 11th) from 4pm to 7pm. Prayers and words of farewell on Thursday morning at 11am followed by private cremation.

Family flowers only, donations in lieu to the Friends of the District Hospital.
