Elizabeth (Betty) Fitzgerald (nee Clarke), Carnroe, Scotshouse, Co.Monaghan and formerly 19 St.Patrick's Terrace, Swellan, Cavan Town, Wednesday December 24th (Christmas Eve) 2025, peacefully in the loving care of her family and the staff at Cavan General Hospital.

Predeceased by her parents Michael and Maureen, brothers Richard, Bill and Tom, sister Mary and recently her sister in law Philly.

Betty will be very sadly missed by her husband John, daughters Lesa and Leonie, sons in law Patrick and Ciaran, her adored grandchildren Danielle (Carl), Patrick and Leo, great grandchildren Rían, Líadh and Oisín, brothers Martin and Gerry, sister in law Anne, nephews, nieces, all her extended family and her many friends.

May she rest in peace.

Reposing at the McMahon Funeral Home, Farnham Rd, Cavan on Friday (St.Stephen's Day) from 4pm until 6pm and also at the home of her granddaughter Danielle, Corconnelly, Clones (H23XE06) on Saturday afternoon from 1pm until 4pm. House private at all other times. Funeral Mass on Monday at 12 noon in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Scotshouse and this will be followed by burial in Cullies Cemetery, Cavan.
