The death has occurred of Elizabeth (Betty) Mary Molloy (née Heavey) Letternoosh, Clifden Co. Galway and formerly of Bawnboy Co Cavan. Betty passed away on March 24th 2026 peacefully in the wonderful care of St. Dominic’s Ward University Hospital Galway with her loving daughter Martina by her side on the eve of her 92nd Birthday.

 

Predeceased by her beloved husband John, her parents Patrick and Margaret Heavey, her brothers Bernard and Thomas and her sisters Mae and Rita.

 

Dearly loved and missed by her son Martin daughters Martina and Liz and son in law Ciaran. Deeply loved by her sister Eileen (Tommy) New York. Sadly missed by her son, daughters, son in law, sister, brother in law, nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, cousins, relatives, neighbours and friends.

 

May Elizabeth’s kind and gentle soul Rest in Peace

 

Reposing at the Chapel of Rest Ballyconneely (H71NN90) on Friday 27th March from 5pm to 7pm with removal after to her daughter Martina's house. Removal on Saturday morning 28th March from Martina's house for Funeral Mass at 11.30am in St Joseph’s Church Clifden followed by burial in Streamstown Cemetery.
