O’SULLIVAN (Cappabeg, Ballydehob): on February 1st 2026 peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, in the exceptional care of staff at Fairfield Nursing Home, Drimoleague. ELIZABETH (Betty) (née Hegarty) beloved wife of the late Willie Pat, adored mother of Catherine (Keane), Hannah (O’Beirne), Joe, Liam, Eilish (Murphy) and Maureen (Doyle), sister of the late John. Sadly missed by her loving family, sister Bridie, brothers Con and Ted, sisters-in-law Marianne and Kathleen, brothers-in-law Denis and Danny, sons-in-law Donnacha, Frank, Donal and Ken, daughters-in-law Shirley and Kim, her 21 beloved grandchildren; Ronan, Cian, Killian, Alannah, Josh, Vincent, Ava, Gavin, Odhran, Desmond, Shane, Stephen, Leon, Naomi, Liam, James, Darragh, Lucy, Conor, Seán and Caoimhe, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

 

Rosary in her residence on Monday, February 2nd 2026 at 9pm for family, neighbours and close friends. Reposing in Hurley & O’Sullivan’s Funeral Home, Skibbereen on Tuesday, February 3rd 2026 from 4.30pm to 6.30pm followed by Prayers. Requiem Mass on Wednesday, February 4th 2026 at 1pm in St. Brigid’s Catholic Church, Ballydehob, P81 H300. Betty will be laid to rest in St Patrick’s Cemetery, Coronea, Skibbereen.

 

Betty will be forever remembered for her strong faith and her exceptional love and devotion to her family and late husband Willie Pat.
