The death has occurred of
Elizabeth (Betty) Smyth
(née Nolan)
Betty passed away peacefully on the 1st February 2026, in the excellent care of Central Park Nursing Home Clonberne, surrounded by her loving family.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Pat.
She will be sadly missed by her loving children Mary, John, Geraldine and Rita, daughter-in-law Caroline, son-in-law Gerry, her cherished grandchildren Marian, Sean, Louise, Leona, Shane, Carolyn, Rosie, Aoife and Aine, her adored great-grandchildren Logan, Jude, Zach, Devyn and Ailbhe. Also sadly missed by her brother-in-law Jarlath, sisters-in-law Olive and Pauline, nieces and nephews, her extended family, neighbours and friends.
Reposing in Gilmore's Funeral Home, Moylough, Co Galway (H53 V6Y3) on Tuesday 3rd February from 6pm to 8pm. Funeral Mass for Betty in St Patrick's Church, Moylough, Wednesday at 1pm with burial afterwards in Moylough Cemetery.
Family flowers only by request, donations if desired to the Galway Hospice.
