Elizabeth (Betty) Sweeney (née Foran), Grange Village, Mullingar and Gibbonstown, Rochfortbridge, passed away 23rd July (peacefully, following an illness bravely borne) at her daughter Michelle's home with her heartbroken family by her side.  Pre-deceased by her husband Michael, brothers and sisters and son-in-law Dan.  Betty will be sadly missed by her devoted family, Christine (Dyer), Samantha (Dugdale), Deirdre (Doran), John, Michelle (Fox), Micheál and Ross, her adored 21 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters Bridget (Murray), Nuala (Boyce), Deirdre (Plunkett), Rosie (Donnelly) and Rita (Russell), brothers Brendan, Noel, Gerry and Christy, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.  The family would like to thank Dr Louise, Home Help carers and the palliative care team for the excellent care of Betty during her illness.

May Betty's Gentle Soul Rest In Peace

Due to continued Government advice regarding public gatherings, there will be a private family Funeral Mass on Monday at 11am in the Cathedral of Christ The King, Mullingar and may be viewed on the live webcam at www.mullingarparish.ie. Burial afterwards in Ballyglass Cemetery.  Family flowers only please.  Donations, if desired, to the Alzheimer's Society, either through the family or Healy's Funeral Directors.
