Betty passed away peacefully on Saturday November 30th, 2024. with her sister Monica and brother-in-law Ed by her bed side. Beloved daughter of the late Daniel and Jane Noonan and sister of the late Pats, Myra (Cotter) Fermoy, Kitty (Hammond) Fermoy, David (London) and Donal (Lincs, England). Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her sisters Jenny (Fermoy), Anne Lavin (Lincs, England), Monica Birmingham (New Jersey, USA), brothers-in-law Mark Cotter, John Lavin and Ed Birmingham, sister-in-law Pamela, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and extended family.
Betty was a member of the Sisters of Loreto of Fermoy and, in 1967, opened a new convent and school in Metairie Louisiana where she was deeply loved by the community. Betty moved to Arizona in 1985 where she taught school, worked for Arizona state and finally retired. Betty will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Rest in peace.
Remembrance Mass for Betty will be celebrated in St. Patrick’s Church Fermoy on Saturday at 11.00.am. Burial afterwards in Kilcrumper old cemetery.
