ELizabeth (Lily) Joyce
(née Byrne)
Joyce (Mt. Agnes Road, Fair Hill, Cork) - On November 10th, 2018 peacefully in the presence of her loving family and in the dedicated care of the Doctors, Nurses and Staff at the Cork University Hospital, Elizabeth (Lily) (née Byrne); dearly beloved wife and best friend of the late Brian (former Coal Merchant and Chairman, Sunnyside Boxing Club), cherished mother of Marie, Geraldine, Desmond, Kieran, Barry, Gordon, Lilian, Sandra, Rachel and the late Martina, Brian and Karl, Nanny Joyce to the late Clodagh, mother-in-law to the late Paul. Sadly missed and deeply mourned by her heartbroken family, sister Dolly, 40 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and her many dear friends and customers.
Reposing at O'Connor Bros. Funeral Home, North Gate Bridge. Rosary on Sunday at 5pm. Removal on Monday evening at 5pm to the Church of The Resurrection, Farranree. Requiem Mass on Tuesday at 12 noon. Funeral afterwards to St. Catherine's Cemetery, Kilcully. Family flowers only. Donations in lieu, if desired, to Ard na Rí Day Centre, Farranree.
