Elizabeth (Liz) died peacefully on 21st November 2024, in the wonderful care of the staff of the North West Hospice Sligo, with her loving family by her side. Formerly of Leitrim, Newtownforbes. Predeceased by her parents Dan and Mary, brother Paddy and brother-in-law Conor. Elizabeth will be sadly missed by all her family, brother Jimmy McVeigh and his wife Mary-Rose (Kilnacarrow, Ballinalee), sister Mary Burns (Mullinalaghta), nephew, nieces, grand-nephews, grand-nieces, neighbours and all her dear friends in Longford and Sligo especially Catherine and Joe.

Those we love don’t go away,
They walk beside us every day,
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed, and very dear.

Reposing in Connell's Funeral Home, Church St, Longford N39KN66 on Sunday 24th from 3.00pm until 4.30pm, followed with removal to St. Mary's Church, Newtownforbes arriving for prayers at 6.00pm. Funeral Mass on Monday 25th at 12noon. Following Mass, Liz will be laid to rest in the family plot in Newtownforbes Cemetery. (Mass can be viewed live, click on the link below).
