MURPHY (née Cummins) Canalmore, Garnish, Beara, Cork passed away peacefully in the tender care of the staff of Castletownbere Community Hospital on July 8th 2025, surrounded by her loving family, ELIZABETH. Liz was a devoted wife to Jimmy, wonderful mother to John, Kevin, Cormac, Paul, Seamus and Mairead, and a cherished grandmother to Orlaith, Jack, Charlie, Eve, Ciarán, Tomás, Sarah, Darragh, Diarmuid, Cathal, Ciara, Aoife, Kate, James and Méabh. Predeceased by her sisters Nancy and Mary, and her brother James. Liz is sadly missed and fondly remembered by her family, neighbours and brother John. Daughters in law Sharon, Aedín, Veronica and Aine and Son -in law Dave, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Reposing In Harringtons Funeral Home in Castletownbere on Thursday (10th July) from 5pm - 7pm followed by removal to Liz’s home.
HOUSE STRICTLY PRIVATE
Requiem Mass will take place in St.Michael’s Church in Cahermore on Friday (11th July) at 11am followed by burial in the local cemetery. Funeral cortège will leave Liz’s home at approximately 10.15am.
