It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ellen Fitzgerald (née O’Connor), Portmarnock, Co. Dublin and formerly of Baldoyle, on 15th August, 2025. Peacefully, at home surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of Des and adored mother of Jennifer and Jacqueline. Cherished sister of Seán and Pat. Ellen will be dearly missed by her devoted husband and daughters, brothers, sons-in-law Niall Buckley and Niall Graham, sister-in-law Anne, Des’ siblings Elizabeth, Gerald, Bernadette, Helen, Angela, John, Rosaleen, Finola and David, sisters and brothers-in-law through marriage, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

May she Rest in Peace.

Reposing in Staffords Funeral Home, Golf Links Road, Portmarnock on Wednesday, 20th August, from 4pm to 6pm. Removal to St. Anne’s Church, Portmarnock on Thursday morning for 10am Funeral Mass followed by burial in Balgriffin cemetery (Carr’s Lane, beside Innisfails GAA club).
