Ellen Dixon (nee Cawley) (better known as Helen), Luton, England and formerly of Faulmore, Blacksod peacefully in Luton on 21st April 2021.Predeceased by her late husband Brendan Clifford and her brother Michael Cawley (better known as Jock). Beloved wife of Eamon and dear mother of Michael, Vincent and Eamon. She will be sadly missed by her heartbroken family, daughters in law Rose, Lina and Jackie, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brother Tony, sister Sheila, brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Remains will depart from family’s holiday residence at The Heights, Ballina Road, Belmullet, on Friday evening at 6.30pm, arriving at the Church of the Sacred Heart, Belmullet, at 7pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday morning at 10am, followed by burial in Emlybeg Cemetery. As the funeral departs from the Sacred Heart Church, Belmullet, the funeral cortege will travel to Helen’s native home in Faulmore en route to the cemetery, travelling via Aughleam, Glosh, the Congo Road, Faulmore and arriving at Emlybeg Cemetery at 1pm approximately.
Memorial Mass will take place for the soul of the late Helen Dixon at the Sacred Heart Church, Belmullet, on Sunday, 23rd May 2021 at 10.30am.
Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to the “Belmullet Community Hospital”, c/o McDonnell Funeral Directors, Belmullet.
Live streaming of the Funeral Mass will be available for viewing at 10am on McDonnell Funeral Directors Facebook page with all other funeral services available for viewing from 8pm on Saturday evening.
In keeping with current Government advice and H.S.E. guidelines regarding public gatherings, Helen’s funeral will be private to family and close friends only, with a maximum of fifty people in attendance. For those who would like to pay their respects as the funeral cortege passes through the town on Friday evening and en route from the church to the cemetery, please stand in a socially distanced manner on the streets, roadsides, outside the church and cemetery, ensuring public health and safety is being upheld to the highest standard. The Dixon and Clifford families appreciate your understanding at this difficult time.
