The death has occurred, in her 89th year, of Ellen Johnson (née Englishby), Greenlake, Monasterboice, peacefully in Moorehall Lodge, Ardee, surrounded by her family. Ellen, beloved wife of the late Larry and loving mother of Paul, Martin, Margaret, David, Olive, John, Vinnie and Alan. Predeceased by her brothers Paddy and Sean, sisters Margaret, Kitty, Evelyn and Marie, daughter-in-law Louise, her grandson Clint and her nephews David and Brendan. Deeply regretted by her sons, daughters, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers Michael, Willie and James, sisters Josie, Sheila and Betty, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.
May Ellen Rest in Peace
Ellen will repose at Connor’s Funeral Home, Dunleer (A92 V38H) on Sunday from 4pm until 8pm. Removal on Monday morning to The Church of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception, Tenure arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am which can be viewed live at https://www.churchservices.tv/monasterboice (Password: Johnson2). Burial afterwards in Monasterboice Cemetery. Messages of sympathy may be left in the Condolence section below.
Ellen’s family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff in Anam Chara, Moorehall Lodge for their exceptional love and care shown to Ellen during her time there.
