Ellen (Nell) McCarthy
(née Russell)

McCarthy (Ballymountain South, Innishannon) on November 7th 2024, surrounded by her loving family under the exceptional care of the Staff of Kinsale Community Hospital. Ellen (Nell) (nee Russell), wife of the late Michael and dear mother of Helen (Butler), Micheal, Richard, Mary (Walsh) and Cathy, and sister of the late Jerry Russell.

Sadly missed by her loving family, daughters-in-law Siobhan (Twomey) and Deirdre (Barrett), sons-in-law Brendan and Dave, brother Tom, sisters Nora (O'Mahony) and Margaret (Peg) (O'Shea), her 9 adored grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, nieces, neighbours, carers, relatives and friends.

Nell will be lying in repose at Gabriel and O'Donovan's Funeral Home, Bandon on Sunday evening from 5pm followed by prayers at 7pm.

Requiem Mass on Monday at 11am in St. Mary's Church, Innishannon, funeral afterwards to the adjoining Cemetery.
