The death has occurred of
Ellen (Nellie May) McSweeney
(née Ahern)
McSweeney (Tullyland, Bandon and late of Castlederry, Aghiohill) on August 18th 2023 peacefully in the tender and loving care of Clonakilty Community Hospital. Nellie May (nee Ahern) (in her 97th year), beloved wife of the late Gerdy, adored mother of the late Eamonn and sister of the late George, Jerry and Willie.
Lovingly remembered by her niece, nephews, cousins, extended relatives, neighbours and friends.
Nellie May will be lying in repose at Gabriel and O'Donovan's Funeral Home, Bandon on Sunday from 4pm to 5pm followed by prayers. Due to ongoing road works on the South Main Street in Bandon, access to the Funeral Home is advised via Riverview Shopping Centre or Chapel Street.
Requiem Mass on Monday at 2pm in St. Patrick's Church, Bandon which will be livestreamed on www.bandonparish.ie/, funeral afterwards to the adjoining cemetery.
