Downey (Lackabawn, Donoughmore) On October 17th 2024, peacefully at Farranlea Rd Community Nursing Unit, Ellen (Nelly) (nee Hourihane), beloved wife of the late John. Sadly missed by her nieces Eibhlin and Martina, nephews Michéal, Tadhg and Seán, grandnieces Aoife, Aisling and Caoimhe, grandnephews Michael, Colm, Conor, Eoghan, Daire and Olan, great-grandnephews, great-grandnieces, relatives and a large circle of friends.

Rest in peace.

Lying in repose at Crowley’s Funeral Home, Ballincollig on Friday (18th October) from 6pm to 7pm for visitation. Requiem Mass on Saturday (19th) at 12noon at St Lachteen’s Church, Stuake which can be viewed on https://sites.google.com/view/life-is-a-river/home . Funeral afterwards to the adjoining cemetery.

Nelly’s family wish to sincerely thank the staff of Farranlea Road Community Nursing Unit for the exceptional care shown to her over her long stay with them and in particular over her final days.
