The death has occurred of
Eoghan Whelan
Eoghan Whelan of Market Street, Wicklow Town who passed away on Sunday 12th October 2025 peacefully at home with family by his side.
A loving dad, son, brother and friend who will be remembered with love and affection by his daughters Jessica, Julie, Áine, Sarah and Georgie, parents Brendan and Ina (née Richardson), siblings Brian, Fionnuala Sinnott, Ciara Walsh, Máirín Dunne, Orla Gear and Eileen Le and by his adored grandchildren Bobby and Elsie, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

Eoghan will repose at Flannery’s Funeral Home, Bachelors Walk, Wicklow Town from 5pm until 7pm on Tuesday. Removal from Market Street on Wednesday morning at 9.30am at walking pace via the Market Square and Main Street to St Patrick’s Church to arrive for funeral Mass at 10am after which Eoghan will be laid to rest in Glenealy Cemetery.
