Esther (Girlie) Hickey (nee Supple), Ardellis, Athy, Co. Kildare, passed away peacefully on 5th December, 2024 in the wonderful care of St. Vincent’s Hospital, Athy surrounded by her loving family. Predeceased by her husband John. Esther will be sadly missed by her loving son Brendan, daughters Siobhán, Karen, grandchildren Shane, Amy, Ríon, Fionn, Tadhg and Féala, son-in-law Kieran, daughter-in-law Deirdre, brothers and sisters Thomas, Pat, Marcella, Mary, John and Christopher, and Aisling and Mary, nephews and nieces, extended family and friends.

Esther will repose at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Chapel Hill, Mt. Hawkins, Athy (R14 NX80) on Friday, 6th December 2024, from 4pm until the conclusion of prayers at 6pm. Arriving at St. Ita’s Church, Kilmead, Co. Kildare for Requiem Mass at 11am on Saturday, 7th December, 2024, followed by committal service in the Victorian Chapel, Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harold’s Cross at 1.45pm (D6W HY98)
