ESTHER O’DOWD (née Monahan) Castle Street and formerly Gallowstown, Roscommon Town. March 6th, 2025; (Peacefully), at her home, after an illness bravely borne. Sadly missed by her children Dorothy Coyle, Brendan, Bridget Giblin and Patricia Coyne, brother John (New Jersey), sisters Ann Hewitt (New York), Bridget Reynolds (New York) and Mary Hoey (Roscommon), grandchildren Tristan, Ava, Lauren, Eamonn and Aislinn, sons-in-law Paul, Frank and Tyrone, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Esther is predeceased by her parents George and Mary, and by her brother Eugene (Odie).

Reposing at Smyth’s Funeral Home, Roscommon F42 NH27 on Friday evening from 5 o’c until 6.30 o’c. Mass of the Resurrection in the Sacred Heart Church, Roscommon on Saturday morning at 11 o’c. Burial afterwards in St. Coman’s Cemetery.
