Peacefully at the home of her daughter Maura Sherlock surrounded by her loving family.

Pre-deceased by her husband Frank, infant son Brendan, parents Charles and Margaret, sisters Imelda Murphy, Marion Brady, Sadie Quinn, Anna and Margaret (in infancy).

Dear mother of Maura (Gerard), Colm (Oonagh), Jim and Fergus (Emilio). Devoted Nanny to Gareth, Tarah and Donna. Loving sister of Carmel (Dan) O’Sullivan (London), Kathleen Browne (Swinford, Co. Mayo), Nuala, Dympna and Clare McAdam (Moysnatt), nieces, nephews, relatives, friends, her neighbours in Ardaghey and extended family circle.

Ethna will repose with her daughter Maura & Gerard Sherlock on Sunday 23rd February 2025 at Mullanarockan, Tydavnet, Co. Monaghan, H18XV07. Ethna’s remains will leave the Sherlock family home at 10.15 a.m. on Monday 24th February to arrive at St. Macartan’s Cathedral, Monaghan for Funeral Mass at 11.00 a.m.

Burial afterwards in St. Joseph’s Calvary Cemetery, Latlurcan.
