The death has occurred of Eugene (Gene) Byrne, Coolremoney, Carrickmacross, Co. Monaghan, Thursday 27th February 2025, peacefully surrounded by his loving family at his residence. Predeceased by his parents Peter and Mollie Byrne. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving wife Anne and his loving family David, Claire and Elaine, his sister Margaret, brother-in-law Brian, son-in-law Niall, nephews Shane, Liam and Conor, extended family, neighbours and his friends.

Reposing at his residence (Coolremoney) on Friday afternoon from 4pm.

House Private on Sunday Please

Removal on Sunday arriving to St. Enda’s Church, Killanny for Prayers of Reception at 5.30pm. Requiem Mass will take place on Monday at 12noon. Burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

Family Flowers only please, donations, if desired to, Carrick Cancer and/or North Louth Palliative Care via donation box c/o any family member or Deery’s Funeral Directors, Carrickmacross.
