Eugene Glynn

Eugene passed away peacefully under the exceptional care of The Galway Hospice Team on the 7th of September 2022. Predeceased by his loving brother Albert. He will be fondly remembered by his wife Pauline and his children Aidan, Des, Edel & Teresa and by his ten beloved grandchildren, also his sisters Marie, Anna, Phyllis & Rosaline, daughters and sons-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at Monahan's Funeral Home, Gort on Friday, September 9th, from 6pm with removal at 8pm to Saint Colman's Church, Gort. Requiem Mass on Saturday, September 10th, at 11am. Cremation to follow. I will arise and go now, and go to Innisfree, and a small cabin build there, of clay and wattles made, nine bean-rows will I have there, a hive for the honey-bee, and live alone in the bee-loud glade.

And I shall have some peace there, for peace comes dropping slow, dropping from the veils of the morning to where the cricket sings, there midnights all a glimmer, and noon a purple glow, and evening full of the linnet's wings.

I will arise and go now, for always night and day, I hear lake water lapping with low sounds by the shore, while I stand on the roadway, or on the pavements grey, I hear it in the deep hearts core.
