Eugene Wiseman

On October 19th, 2024, peacefully in his 93rd year, surrounded by family, at Fairfield Nursing Home, Drimoleague, EUGENE, beloved husband of the late Hazel (nee Cregan), loving father of Marie, Tina, Alan and Colin, brother of the late Mary Frances (Fern), Irene (Crowley), Fr Robert and Sr Eleanor. Sadly missed by his loving family, daughter-in-law Fra, son-in-law Tim, grandchildren Darragh, Shauna, Niamh, Ronan, Seán, and Fionn, brother-in-law David, nephews, nieces, other family and friends.

His flowers still bloom, and the sun still shines, but the rain is like teardrops for those left behind. The weeds lay waiting to take the garden’s beauty away, but the beautiful memories of his creator, are in our hearts to stay.

The Wiseman family would like to acknowledge the staff of Fairfield Nursing Home and Bantry General Hospital for the loving care shown to our dear Dad. We would also like to thank Dr Joan Lynch and Dr Ciara Murphy most sincerely for their dedicated care and for the compassion shown to him.

May he rest in peace.

Reposing at his home, Eircode: P75 T923 on Wednesday Oct. 23rd from 5pm to 8pm with vigil prayers at 8pm. Requiem Mass on Thursday Oct. 24th at 2pm at Sacred Heart Church, Durrus (to view live stream please click here) followed by burial in the adjoining New Cemetery.
