On 15th January 2026, peacefully at home, in her 91st year - and surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her dearly loved husband Humphrey, her brother Jim Downey and sister Frances Downey.

Deeply regretted by her daughters Jane (Cox), Louise (Nehaili) and Eliza (Munnelly), her sons Johnny and Patrick, brother Tony Downey and sister Maria Finn, sons-in-law Ted and Micheál, daughters-in-law Olga and Niamh, and her precious and treasured grandchildren, Edward, Elizabeth, Peter, Laura, Turiya, Joseph, Horatio, Malik, Kamal, Aaron, Mary, Michael and Barbara Ann, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and all her many extended family and her dear close friends and neighbours.

 

 

May she rest in peace.

 

 

Reposing at her daughter Eliza’s home at 43, Oakwood Manor, Kenmare, V93 FR94 -

from 2pm to 6pm on Saturday 17th January 2026.

Arrival at Holy Cross Church, Kenmare at 10am on Monday (January 19th) for 10.30am Requiem Mass, which will be livestreamed on https://kenmareparish.ie/ - (MASS LIVE STREAM) – followed by burial in Holy Cross Cemetery, Kenmare.
