Marking the passing and celebrating the life of social worker and community activist Fergus Mc Cabe, who died yesterday, 8th October 2020, suddenly and without pain after a long illness. Sadly missed by his wife Helena, children Ella, Kathy and Eoin and their spouses Ciara and Edward, grandchildren Poppy, Isabel and Cara, brother Dermot, sister Bríd, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and many friends across the voluntary, community, and statutory sectors, in the inner city and abroad, in Belvedere FC and, of course, the NYP.
Committed to social justice and equality, Fergus supported and saw the potential of all young people, developed others through sport and music, and brought his family and community so much joy.
