Finbarr (Finny) Long

LONG (Cork) On 21st October 2025, peacefully, in the presence of his loving family and in the exceptional and tender care of staff of Brídhaven Nursing Home, FINBARR (FINNY), Knockpogue Avenue, Farranree, late of Innishannon Road, Fair Hill and Painter and Decorator. Dearly beloved husband of Mary (nee Lynch) and much loved father of Barry, Ian and Mark, devoted granda of Sophia and Freya, father-in-law of Ashling. Dearest brother of Sadie and the late Joe and Jimmy.

Sadly missed by his loving wife, family, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nephews, niece, his lifelong best friend Christy Forde, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Coughlan’s Funeral Home, Shandon Street on Thursday (23rd October) from 10.00am, family in attendance from 5.00pm with Rosary Prayers at 6.00pm. Requiem Mass on Friday (24th October) at 11.00am in the Church of the Resurrection, Farranree. Funeral afterwards to St. Mary’s New Cemetery, Curraghkippane.
