Finbarr McCarthy

McCarthy (Kinsale) on February 3rd, 2026, suddenly at work in the U.K., while transporting his beloved horses. Finbarr, beloved husband of Frances (nee Gray) and step-dad to Fergus, his partner and family.

 

Sadly missed by his loving wife, family, brother, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, his adored nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces and his many many friends. Predeceased by his parents Mary and Paddy McCarthy. Finbarr will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him.

 

Finbarr will be lying in repose at Gabriel and O'Donovan's Funeral Home, Kinsale (eircode P17WC61) on Sunday evening from 5.30pm followed by Prayers at 7pm. (Parking is available in Supervalu Car Park by kind permission - max 2 hours).

 

Removal from Funeral Home on Monday at 1.45pm to St. John the Baptist Church, Kinsale for Requiem Mass at 2pm in which will be livestreamed on www.churchservices.tv/kinsale followed by Cremation in the Island Crematorium, Ringaskiddy.

 

Donations in lieu of flowers to Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust (Donation box will be available in Funeral Home, Church and Crematorium).
