Finbarr O'Donoghue

On August 24th, 2025, peacefully in the loving care of staff at Marymount University Hospital and Hospice, Cork. FINBARR, beloved husband of Sheila née O’Donovan (Gortnakilla), loving father of Ronan and Siobhan, father-in-law of Noreen and Ben, grandfather of Alex, Seb, Claudia, Orla, Finn and Niamh, dear brother of Denis, Connie, Jerry, the late May, Johnny, Ellen (Flanagan), Joan (Murphy) and Peggy (Sweeny), brother-in-law of Maureen, Cáit, Margaret, Thomas, Noreen, Teresa, Denis and the late Eileen, Timmy and Jerry. Sadly missed by his loving family, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended families and friends.

May he rest in peace.

Reposing at Coakleys Funeral Home, Chapel St, Bantry on Thursday August 28th from 6pm to 8pm with vigil prayers at 8pm. Requiem Mass on Friday August 29th at 12noon at St Finbarr’s Church, Bantry (to view live stream please click here) followed by burial in the Abbey Cemetery, Bantry.
