Finula Hackett
(née Cooney)

(Formerly Furrymelia East, Barna). Peacefully at University Hospital Galway, after an illness borne with great strength and dignity. Predeceased by her parents Mary and Michael Cooney. Beloved wife of Tom and much loved sister of Nora, Kathleen, Mary, Bernie, Mairtín, Stephen and Padraic. Deeply mourned and sadly missed by her husband, sisters and brothers and their partners, nieces, nephews, the extended Hackett and Cooney family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing at St. Anthony's Room within the Church of St. John the Apostle, Knocknacarra on Sunday, 17 December, 2023, from 4.00 p.m. with Removal into the adjoining Church at 5.00 p.m. Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Finula on Monday, 18 December, at 11.00 a.m. Following Mass she will be laid to rest in Rahoon Cemetery.
