The death has occurred of Fiona Higgins (née McGinley), 44 Glenoughty Close, Letterkenny, who passed away peacefully on Monday, 22nd December, 2025, surrounded by her loving family, in the wonderful care of the staff of Letterkenny University Hospital .

Predeceased by her father, Charlie McGinley and her brother-in-law, Ollie Horgan.

Beloved wife of Joe and devoted mother of Alison, Dónall, Rónan and Sarah.

Fiona will be sadly missed by her loving husband, daughters and sons, her mother Eileen and sisters, Anita, Maureen (Jack), Deirdre (Daithi), Michelle (Cormac), brothers Liam, Domhnall, Cathal and Donnacha (Áine) parents-in-law Margaret and Francis, sisters-in-law Tina and Rachel, brothers-in-law, Kieran and Frankie, nephews, nieces, relatives and many friends.

May she Rest in Peace.

Reposing at her home 44, Glenoughty Close, Glencar, Letterkenny, (F92V0Y8), today, Monday, December 22nd, from 6.00pm until 10.00pm and Tuesday December 23rd from 10.00am to 10.00pm.

Family time after 10.00pm on Monday and Tuesday and Wednesday morning

Requiem Mass on Wednesday December 24th, at 11.00am in St. Eunan’s Cathedral, Letterkenny, which can be viewed online at www.churchservices.tv/letterkenny followed by interment in Conwal Cemetery.
