Fionnghuala Hickey
(née ní Chonaill)
HICKEY (The Square, Skibbereen & formerly of Tralee, Co. Kerry): On February 5th 2025, unexpectedly but peacefully at her sisters residence Strandhill, Co. Sligo. FIONNGHUALA (née ní Chonaill) beloved wife of the late Percy, much loved mother of Clodagh (McCarthy), Sandra (O’Donovan) and Pierce, sister of the late Diarmuid, Brenawn and Ciaran. Sadly missed by her loving family, sons-in-law Adrian and John, grandchildren Alannah, Adrienna, Adam, Pierce, Lily and Aaron, great-grandchildren Rhys and Veyda, brother Eoghan, sister Órfhlaith, extended family and many friends.
Reposing in Hurley & O’Sullivan’s Funeral Home, Skibbereen on Sunday, February 9th 2025 from 4pm to 6pm followed by Prayers. Requiem Mass on Monday, February 10th 2025, at 12 noon in St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Skibbereen. This will be livestreamed here. Funeral afterwards to St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Coronea, Skibbereen.

Fionnghuala’s Funeral Cortege will leave St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Skibbereen after Requiem Mass proceeding via North Street, Market Street, Townshend Street, Upper Bridge Street and onwards to St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Coronea, Skibbereen.
