Fr. Dermot Fenlon, Cobh & Crosses Avenue, Dublin
August 17th 2022
Unexpectedly but peacefully in his 81st year & his 40th year of priesthood, at St. Benedict’s Priory, Cobh, Co. Cork where he was chaplain since June 2019. Predeceased by his parents Dermot & Mary (Tutty) Fenlon & his older brother Frank. Sadly, missed & lovingly remembered by his sister-in-law Alice (Leclezio) his nieces MarieJeanne, Gabrielle, Damienne & Veronique & their families, cousins Pauline & Mary Tutty, Mother Catherine & the Benedictine Sisters (Adorers of the Sacred Heart of Jesus) St. Benedict’s Priory, Cobh, Bishop Philip Egan & fellow priests of the Portsmouth diocese UK, Bishop William Crean & the priests of Cloyne Diocese & his many loyal friends in Cobh & beyond.
May Fr. Dermot rest in peace.
Fr. Dermot will repose in St. Benedict’s Priory Chapel, The Mount, Cobh P24C438 on Sunday August 21st from 2pm with rosary at 5pm. All are welcome to call & pay their respects. Requiem Mass will take place at 11am on Monday August 22nd in St. Benedict’s Priory Chapel followed by burial in St. Colman’s Cemetery, Cobh.
