Fr. Desmond (Des) Campion SDB CFC

CAMPION (Naval Base, Haulbowline, Cork & formerly of Brandon Road, Drimnagh, Dublin): On November 16th, 2024, peacefully, in the presence of his friends and family and in the wonderful care of the Bon Secours Hospital, Fr DESMOND (DES) CAMPION SDB CFC, (Naval Chaplain), beloved son of the late May and James, much loved brother of Declan, Bernard, Miriam and the late Raymond.

Deeply regretted by his loving family, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, his Religious Confreres, Bishop Fintan Gavin, Bishop Emeritus Buckley, clergy of the Diocese of Cork and Ross, all his Naval family, relatives and a wide circle of friends.

Cork Arrangements:

Fr Des will lie in rest in the Church of Our Lady Star of the Sea, Naval Base, Haulbowline on Tuesday (November 19th) from 3.00pm until Celebration of Vespers at 7.00pm.

Resting at the Brian McElroy Funeral Home, Crumlin Village on Thursday (November 21 st) from 5pm to 7pm.

followed by burial in Palmerstown Cemetery.
