The death has occurred of
Fr Eustace McSweeney OFM Cap.
Fr Eustace McSweeney OFM Cap (Capuchin Friary, Raheny and late of Tooreenbawn, Millstreet, Cork) passed peacefully (aged 91years) on 7th September 2023 in the wonderful care of his colleagues and friends in St Francis Hospice Raheny. Predeceased by his parents Denis and Teresa, his brothers Morgan, Fr Gerard OFM Cap, Con, Jerry, sister Margaret and beloved niece Teresa. Deeply regretted by his Capuchin Confrères, sisters-in-law Margaret and Nora, nieces and nephews Denis, Teresa, Fr James, Gerard and Kathryn, grandnephews and grandnieces Rachael, Ronan, Daniel, Aoife, Peter, Ella and Rían and his many friends both at home and abroad.
Reposing in the Chapel of the Capuchin Friary, Raheny (D05T9E4) on Friday evening from 3pm to 7pm. Evening Prayer with the Friars will be livestreamed at 7pm on www.memoriallane.ie/livestream. Funeral Mass in the Church of St Mary of the Angels, Church Street, Dublin 7 on Saturday at 11am followed by burial in the Capuchin Cemetery, Rochestown, Cork (arriving at 4pm approx.)
