Fr James Leavy

Fr James Leavy, died peacefully in Harrogate, United Kingdom (formerly of Lanesboro Co Longford) on the 28th April 2024, where he had served as parish priest and hospital chaplain. Pre - deceased by his parents JP and Brigid, and sister Anne Matthews.

Fr James will be greatly missed and remembered with love by his brothers Larry, Pat and Eddie, sisters Mary McGowan (New Jersey) and Breda O'Loughlin (Kilkenny), brother in law, sister in law, nephews, nieces, grandnephews and grandnieces, by the Bishop and priests of the Diocese of Leeds, his many devoted parishioners, and wide circle of friends.

Arriving to St Mary's Church Lanesboro at 7pm on Sunday, 19th May 2024. Funeral Mass at 12 noon on Monday, 20th May. Burial afterwards in Lanesboro Cemetery.
