Fr. John (Peter, Peadar) Byrne O.S.A.

BYRNE, Fr. John OSA, (Peter/Peadar) of St Augustine’s, Taylor's lane, Ballyboden, has passed away peacefully on 31st January, 2025, under the kind and attentive care of the staff in The Beacon Hospital, Sandyford. Predeceased by his parents, Tom and Betty, his loving sister Grace, and his brother-in-law Cathal Murray. He will be sadly missed by his nephews Kilian and Peter, his nieces Grace and Liz, all their children, his good friend Bernadette Toal, his Augustinian Confreres and extended family and friends. Also sadly missed by the Orlagh-in-the- City Community.

Reposing at St Augustine’s, Taylor's Lane Sunday 2nd February from 4pm to 6pm.Also reposing on Monday 3rd February from 3pm to 5.30pm ending with evening prayers. Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Church of Our Lady of Good Counsel, Whitechurch Green, Dublin 16 on Tuesday 4th February for Mass at 10.30am followed by burial in the Augustinian plot Glasnevin Cemetery.
