Fr Mark Leenane

The death has occurred of Fr. Mark Leenane (St Vincent De Paul Parish Osterley, London, Glendown, Templeogue, Dublin and Ballinderry, Tipperary) 6th July 2023. Fr Mark died unexpectedly at his home in Osterley, in the presence of his loving family following a short illness. Beloved son of Michael and Eileen, brother of John, Andrea, Eleanor, Ivor, Ronan and Miriam. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his parents, siblings, brother-in-law Andrew, sisters-in -law Linda, Tanya and Jenny, nieces and nephews Jennie, Julie, Harvey, Ewan, Michael, Jake, Tilly, Elijah and Ephraim, godparents Bill and Máire, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, godchildren, parishioners, colleagues, many friends and neighbours. Minister to his beloved congregation and friends in Osterley.

Fr Mark’s friends and family would like to acknowledge the care afforded to him by the wonderful medical and emergency staff of the NHS and to his close friend Fr. Frans who anointed Mark.

Fr Mark’s mortal remains will be received at St Vincent de Paul Church, Osterley, at 3pm on Monday (July 31st). The church will remain open until 10pm. The Funeral Mass will take place at 12 noon on Tuesday (1st August) which shall be live streamed through the following link In Loving Memory Of Father Mark Leenane - Funeral Streaming - https://www.funeralstreaming.co.uk/.

Fr Mark’s mortal remains will then be removed to the Church of St. Jude the Apostle, Rossmore Road, Templeogue, Dublin 6W for Mass to take place at 11am on Friday (August 4th) also available to view through the parish web camera St. Jude the Apostle, Templeogue - https://churchmedia.tv/ , followed by burial in Kilmashogue Cemetery.
