Fr. Mark (Seán) Minihane O.S.A.

Minihane, Fr. Mark (Seán) O.S.A. (Formerly Lislevane, Barryroe, Cork, England, Scotland, Arizona, and Dublin), passed away peacefully on the 22nd August 2025 in the tender care of the staff at St. Augustine’s, Ballyboden. Fr. Mark (Seán) is predeceased by his parents, Micheál and Ursula, foster mother Nora Fleming, and brothers, Micheál and Donal.

He is deeply mourned by his sisters-in-law Judy and husband Dave, nephew Micheál and his wife Julia and family, his niece Sheila and her husband Vlad and family, Micheál and Lillian McCarthy and kindly cousins, relatives and friends, Dr. Kealy, his nurses and carers here in St. Augustine’s and his Augustinian confreres.

Mark's remains will repose at St. Augustine’s, Taylors Lane, Ballyboden, Dublin 16. Those who wish to pay their respects are welcome between 1.30pm - 3pm Monday, 25th August, ending with evening prayer. Mark’s (Seán's) remains will travel from Dublin to the Augustinian Church, Washington Street, Cork on Monday evening arriving at 6pm. His Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday 26th August at 11am followed by burial in his family plot in Lislevane Cemetery.
