IGOE, SMA, Rev Fr Michael, Society of African Missions, Blackrock Road, Cork late of Lowbrook, Glasson, Athlone, Co Westmeath on 2nd July 2025, on the eve of his 94th birthday, peacefully at the SMA House, African Missions, Blackrock Road, Cork.

Predeceased by his parents William and Christina (Gill), his aunt Sr Mary Nicholas O.P., his sister Margaret, his brothers Denis and Liam, his sisters-in-law Betty and Aine, brother-in-law John, his niece Aine and grandnephew Derek.

Deeply regretted by his nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins, friends and neighbours, the clergy and peoples of the Dioceses of Ondo and Ilorin in Nigeria, the Dioceses of Ndola and Lusaka in Zambia and his confreres in the Society of African Missions.

Reposing at the African Missions, Blackrock Road, Cork on Friday 4th July from 4pm to 6pm.

Removal from the SMA House, Blackrock Road, Cork on Saturday 5th July at 11.45am to St Joseph’s SMA Church, Wilton, Cork for Funeral Mass at 12.30pm followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
