Fr Michael McGowan
The death has occurred of Fr. Michael Mc Gowan, Rathcoole, Co. Dublin and formerly Cattan and Tawlaughtmore, Mohill, Co. Leitrim, peacefully in the loving care of the management and staff of Lisheen Nursing Home, Rathcoole on February 11th 2025.
Predeceased by his parents Matt and Mary Ellen, brothers Fr. Myles and John {Nellie}, sisters Kathleen, Mary, Brigid and Sr. Mel. Deeply regretted by his nephews, nieces, grandnephew, grandnieces, Archbishop Dermot Farrell and priests of the Dublin archdiocese, former parishioners, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Requiescat in pace
Fr. Michael will repose at Lisheen Nursing Home on Thursday 13th February from 4 p.m. until 5:30 followed by removal to Church of the Holy Family Rathcoole to arrive at 6 p.m. Requiem Mass on Friday 14th of February at 12 noon, with burial afterwards in Mohill cemetery.
