Fr. Michael OSA (Chris) Fitzgerald

FITZGERALD – Fr. Michael OSA (Chris) (Formerly Griston, Ballylanders; Dublin, Drogheda, Rome, Nigeria, and Ecuador.) Peacefully in the tender care of the staff at St. Augustine’s, Ballyboden, Dublin 16. Predeceased by his sisters: Margaret, Eileen, Brid and Bernadette; brothers: Sean, William and Patrick.

 

Deeply mourned by his sister Sister Mary (Sisters of Charity, Birmingham,) his brother Joe and sister-in-law Kay, nieces, nephews, Augustinian Confreres, the people of the Diocese of Jos, Nigeria, Archdiocese of Portoviejo Manabí, Ecuador, extended family and friends. Mike was cared for with great affection by Dr. Kealy, and the exceptional managers, nurses and carers of Sodexo and Comfort Keepers.

Reposing at St. Augustine’s, Taylor’s Lane, Ballyboden, Dublin 16 on Monday 9th March from 4pm-5.45pm in the Community Chapel concluding with evening prayer. Removal on Tuesday morning 10th March at 10.30am to the parish Church of Our Lady of Good Counsel, Ballyboden for the Funeral Mass 11am. Burial afterwards in the Augustinian plot, Glasnevin.
