Fr. Patrick Sugrue

The death has occurred of Fr. Patrick Sugrue, Mastergeehy, Waterville, Co. Kerry who passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Friday 20th February 2026 in the care of the staff of Kerry University Hospital.

 

Pre-deceased by his beloved parents Padruig and Mairín, his brother Tadhg and sister Maura.

 

He will be sadly missed by his brothers Micheál and Kevin and his sister Kathleen, sisters-in-law Mary, Nuala and Joan, his brother-in- law Shane, his adored nieces and nephews, Aedamar, Orla, Sinead, Gráinne, Fergal, Ronán, Gerard, Michelle, Darren, Pádraig, Tríona, Dearbhla, Daibhéid, grandnieces, grandnephews, extended family, Bishop Ray Browne and clergy, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.

Reposing in Fitzgeralds Funeral Home, Waterville (V23RK24) this Sunday afternoon (Feb 22nd) from 3.30pm- 6pm followed by removal to St. Finian’s Church arriving at 6-30pm.

 

Requiem Mass will take place on Monday (Feb 23rd) at 12 noon followed by burial in the Adjoining Cemetery.
