The death has occurred of Frances Burke (Née McGovern) – Downes Lane, Bishopsgate Street, Mullingar and formerly of Bunbrosna and Multyfarnham, Co Westmeath - January 16, 2026 (peacefully) at her home with her family by her side following an illness bravely borne.
Loving mother of Colin, Lisa, Linda and Ian; Frances will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by her family, her treasured grandchildren, sisters Julie, Pauline and Bernadette, daughter-in-law and partners, nieces, nephews, relatives, extended family, wonderful carers and many friends.

Reposing at Gilsenan’s Funeral Home (N91 K660) on Monday January 19th from 4 pm concluding with prayers at 6 pm.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday January 20th at 11 am at the Church of St Michael the Archangel, Sonna (N91 V302) followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. The Mass may be viewed via the livestream at here.
